Medicare Supplement Plans (Medigap)

Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) is additional insurance offered by private insurance companies that works with Original Medicare.

Medigap policies can help pay some of your share of out-of-pocket costs for services covered by Original Medicare, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. Coverage and costs vary depending on the Medigap plan you choose.

Generally, you must have Original Medicare—Medicare Part A and Part B—to purchase a Medigap policy.
